Good  evening  everyone,

Why is it so hard to get parents to take part in their child's life?  Every afternoon once I've picked Pearl up from school, we get to work on a new skill or craft.  Knowing she is only 3yrs old, many of the actives are centered around her age group.  However since starting at two months I've talked to her in normal language and used flash cards with everything on them from the alphabets to simple words.

It doesn't take much help your child to pick up the Ball of Life and keep it bouncing in their court.  My house has been turned into a classroom for our children. Pictures to come, with explanations on how I use each item.

Until tomorrow.

Stop the World

It's a Saturday morning and so much has gone on in a small amount of time, that I just sit here and ask myself "What has happened in my life."

You see for me to ask this I have to sit back and look back on things.  36, married with two children (by the same man), and searching for the bright side of life.  Don't get me wrong happy to have my husband and children;however there are things that make me just want to "Stop the world!".  I use to believe once I got married everything would be okay and nothing would be wrong.  That my Knight in Shining armor would take all my worries away, instead of the feeling of losing my self image.  Driving through this part of my life on the side of the road and not along the actual road.

I'm okay, just can't help to think am complacance with my life.  Working in the school district (for 11yrs. now), went from the classroom to the library now the IST office.  at times I believe staying in the classroom is my best bet.  Teaching is in my heart, but you know we do as humans (when people think your not making enough money) we move on to another job.  That's where DHS comes in.  Well we are about leave and go to the fair (I'll be back)........

Well its a Sunday afternoon, and I'm seating here with my husband watching football and thinking about a lot of things.  Have you ever just thought about how things might or might not be close to how you have been raised?  For me its how close things are so close to how my parents.  Its funny to me right now;am in education like my mother (thought I was leaving at one time), hard on my children (like my mother) and other things are similar.  Am happy with my life, wouldn't change to much.  Just trying to help my husband get our family to the level we will have a great hill of wealth for our children.

I've decided to try for my teaching degree for elementary, trying to make this goal.  Achieving this goal will teach my daughter  to never give.  I was recently engaged in a new campaign about girl empowerment, and really liked how they give positive messages to young girls.  You should really check their sites out!

OK!

Well it looks like you are going have to wait for a minute until I get the right giveaway for you to enter.  The one with the KiteReader Accessories is not all the good, products might be great to have; however giving your information to a company without your permission isn't nice.

So on that note we will wait for the right one for us.  I will start writing more, there is a lot of things going on that is just too good to keep to myself..........

Am by far prefect...however I do try and learn from the mistake I've made in my life.  I guess that's why I'm making damn sure teaching Little lady and Jr. top notch.  I work in a system that have examples everyday of parents that either are too young or to "in love" to notice the little people need them.

Answering the phones for DHS is so hard sometimes, that I don't even want to hear most of the calls now.  It breaks my heart when a parent calls in to report their child is/has been abused some kind of way. Even hearing the elderly asking for help weighs heavy on my heart.  I don't understand how grown children can even forget about their parents.
